Drug Testing

Drug Testing

Drug tests (urine or blood) are typically used for two different purposes. Physicians (especially those involved in pain-management) use drug screens to monitor their patients for the presence or absence of prescription and illegal drugs, and to verify the concentrations of the drugs in question. Employers use the same drug screens to prove that their employees are drug-free.

As an independent consumer, you are free to screen for drugs in your own body, just as you would in the doctor’s office or workplace. All of our drug screens are completely confidential and legal. Upon your selection, these tests will be ordered and reviewed by a Medical Review Officer. Results are typically available to you in 3-5 business days.

We also work with small businesses that are interested in testing their employees for drugs. Employees must agree to the testing, and must sign an authorization and consent form.

The list of prescription medications available for testing includes amphetamines, barbiturates, benzodiazepines (such as Diazepam, or Valium), Carisoprodol (SOMA), opiates (including Darvon, Demerol, Fentanyl, Oxycodone), Ritalin and Tramadol.

Available testing of non-prescription and illegal drugs includes 6-Acetylmorphine (test for Heroin), Cannabinoids (Marijuana or THC), Cocaine, Ecstasy (MDMA), LSD, PCP (“Angel Dust”) and Qualude (Methaqualone). We also tests for common legal substances, such as nicotine and alcohol. In the event that there is any question about the integrity of a urine specimen, we also offers tests for urine dilution and other evidence of tampering (including tests for adulterants (nitrites), specific gravity and creatinine).

For your convenience, we offer several different drug panels that test for multiple combinations of drugs at the same time, depending on what your specific needs are (testing for 5, 7, 9 or 12 different drugs). Our Medical Review Officer will be able to assist you with any questions you may have about the various panels.
