Gastrointestinal Health

Many Americans, by virtue of their careless eating habits, hectic lifestyles, or genetic makeup, suffer from a multitude of gastrointestinal disorders. Three of the most common GI disorders are lactose intolerance, peptic ulcer disease, and inflammatory bowel syndrome (IBD).

With specific testing for the origins of peptic ulcers (Helicobacter pylori IgM, IgG, IgA; Blood Gastrin Levels), with the lactose intolerance test, and with the IBD Profile (distinguishing between Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis), we allow you to screen for and diagnose these problems early on, so that you and your physician will be able to devise appropriate treatment plans and lifestyle modification, and live a healthier life.

Colon Cancer is now one of the most common and most preventable cancers, if screened and detected early. Unfortunately, patients don’t always follow their doctors’ recommendations and get regular screening colonoscopies which yield information that could potentially save lives. While blood tests should not be a substitute for a colonoscopy, our PreGen Colorectal Cancer Test is a completely non-invasive colorectal cancer screening tool that helps you decide whether you are at risk. Of course, patients with strongly positive family histories of cancer, especially colon cancer, are advised to also consider having the more invasive test. Your primary physician can best advise you how to proceed.
