Infertility

Our fertility testing allows couples to be ahead of the game. Hormone imbalances account for the most common reasons that couples fail to conceive. Fertility testing under the guidance of a specialist can be tedious and costly. Our fertility tests allow you to determine if the causes are male or female (or both) in origin, and even which specific hormone imbalances are responsible.

Our tests are divided into male or female hormone tests.

Among the tests for female infertility are the Ovarian Function Profile (estradiol, follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH); free thyroxine index, luteinizing hormone (LH), prolactin,T3 uptake, thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH); thyroxine (T4)), deficiency of 17-Alpha Hydroxyprogesterone, test of a missing X chromosome (Sex Determination Fertility Check), luteinizing hormone (Interstitial Cell Stimulating Hormone) imbalance, progesterone imbalance (Progesterone Fertility Check) and loss of ovarian follicles (Inhibin B test).

Sometimes it is a male hormone imbalance or sperm deficiency that accounts for the infertility. Our infertility evaluation includes testing of malfunctioning sperm (Male Y Deletion Analysis), microscopic assessment of sperm motility (Semen Motility Profile), measurement of sperm count (Semen Analysis), and tests of male hormone (Testicular Function Profile II and Testicular Function Profile III, which includes thyroid hormone analysis).

Infertility in either sex can also be explained by the presence of the Leptin gene, which predisposes patients to morbid obesity, and results in hormone imbalances which may explain infertility.

To determine if fertility treatments have been successful, you can test for levels of Human Chorionic Gonadatropin (Beta-hCG). This is a blood test which is much more reliable and accurate than a home urine test.
