Testing For Toxins

Exposure to Toxins

A person can be exposed to toxins in many ways. Exposure can commonly occur through the workplace, through the foods you eat, or through the environment in which you live. Many workers are exposed to toxins by the very nature of the work they do. However, even just living in a town where there is a manufacturing or chemical plant nearby may expose you to toxins released into the air or water tables. Regardless of the source of exposure, it is important to know if you have been exposed. Screening tests for toxins may help in early detection of over-exposure.

Lead Tests and other Testing for Toxins

Lead tests help you determine the concentration of lead in your body. If not properly diagnosed, lead poisoning, especially in children, can interfere with absorption of iron and cause extensive damage to both brain and organ development. LabSafe offers lead testing, heavy metal poisoning, and a number of specific laboratory tests to determine the presence of dangerous toxins from pesticides to arsenic, molds to respiratory irritants, and more.
